Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected diameter of Cambridge. With only one chord, it is not possible to tell if Brian was north or south of the centre line of the event. The model has been plotted centred on the observed chord.

Because of the significant difference between the predicted and observed times (see below) it may be questioned whether the correct event was recorded.

The figure below shows the Tangra light curve of the occultation.

Comments: GAIA prediction: combined mag 12.9, expected d mag 2.6.
 Event T max 1.8 sec, Pred time error 5s,  Prob of event 13%, Darfield at 0.4 sigma The light curve
shows a clear event, ca 3.5 integrated frames and the correct sort of depth.
  BUT it is ca 32 seconds late ca 6x predicted error.
    KIWI-OSD reported no time error by re-boot after observation run.
