Discussion:
The circle above is plotted at the expected diameter of Makhaon. With only one chord, it is not possible to determine whether Brian was north or south of the centre line of the event, but it appears he was close to it. The circle has been plotted centred on the observed chord.
The event appears to have been north of the predicted path.
