A 2.4 second occultation was recorded by Brian Loader from Darfield on the South Island of New Zealand. No other reports were received for this event.

Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 102 km diameter of Luscinia. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Brian was north or south of the central line of the even so the circle has been plotted on the observed chord .
