A 17.9 second occultation was recorded by Brian Loader from Darfield on the South Island of New Zealand. No other observations were reported for this event.

Discussion:
The circle above is plotted at the expected 74 km diameter of Vindobona. As can be seen from the lightcurve below, this is an extremely 'shallow' occultation with (231) Vindobona significantly brighter than the occulted star. There is therefore some degree of uncertainty in the timing of the disappearance and reappearance and even if an occultation has occured. After careful review by Dave Herald using AOTA and Tony George using R-OTE, it is reasonably confirmed that an occultation occurred and the time derived have been used in this report. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Brian was east or west of the centreline of Vindobona.
