Occultations have been observed by both Jacquie Milner and Dean Hooper across the greater Melbourne area using video OSD technique.
No clearly observed misses were recorded for this event.

Discussion:
Inspection of the lightcurves below show an excellent signal to noise ratio and and give good confidence that the events are real. Previous research had concluded a circular equivalent diameter for (824) Anastasia of only 29km. The spacing of these two observations however indicates at least one dimension being significantly greater than this and the possibility of an extremely elongated object. There is only one previous reported occultation by (824) Anastasia across California on 2010 April 6 with four chords observed and a large number of negative observations. That observation also concluded that (824) Anastasia was extremely elongated and of dimensions very close to those derived above for this set of observations (22km X 44km for the 2010 observation). This lends some credibility to the above interpretation.
