Discussion:
The ellipse above is plotted at the maximum axis ratio as determined by lightcurve inversion data. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Brian was north or south of the central line of the event. However, assuming the updated prediction was approximately correct the close to expected maximum chord of about 65km would suggest that the chord might lie close to the central portion of the asteroid. We can be confident of the path of Dejopeja and that it was well north of the predicted line. The DAMIT 3D model has been overlaid on the measured ellipse and shows reasonable fit. The model has been adjusted in size to fit the ellipse of approximately the same area as the prediction of 65 km. There is not enough data to prefer one 3D model over the other one so the first one has been shown.
