Discussion:
The circle above is plotted at the expected 19 km diameter of Ruby. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether John was north or south of the central line of the event.
The figure below shows the Tangra light curve of the occultation.
This was a very short dip but as the maximum predicted was only 0.6 sec and the time was very close to that predicted and the mag drop also matches well, it gives confidence that this is a real event and not noise.
