Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 79 km diameter of Hormuthia. The predicted time of the event was about 100 seconds (about 6 sigma) from the observation so the gap on the predicted line is off the plot. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Bill was north or south of the central line of the event.
This illustrates why observers should try to record or observe for significantly longer in time, and wider in space, than the 1 sigma error given in the predictions. You just never know when you might get lucky. Also remember that any moonlets of asteroids are usually found at around 10 to 15 times the diameter of the main object.
