Discussion:
The ellipse above is plotted so that the longer axis fits the chord and the shorter is adjusted to give the same area as the expected circle of 100 km diameter. A 4 chord observation in Arizona on 05 Feb 2010 measured a dimension of 103 x 87 km. It would seem that Kolga has a very elongated potato shape. Sadly there is no ISAM or DAMIT 3D model for Kolga. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether John was north or south of the central line of the event. However, the longer than expected chord of about 122 km would suggest that the chord might lie close to the central portion of the asteroid.
