A 9 second occultation was recorded by Bill Hanna, using ADVS video technique.
Two clearly observed miss were recorded for this event.
the first prediction showed the path t othe south of Australia

But a later one just a few weeks before the event was much more accurate and clearly close to the path.

Discussion:
The circle above is plotted at the expected 804 km diameter of Ixion. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Bill was north or south of the central line of the event.
The figure below shows the Tangra light curve of the occultation.
There has been some discussion about how to interpret the two non zero points at the bottom of the lightcurve. This could indicate a double star but it is cataloged at M 15.5, so if this is a companion it is very dim, and there is not enough data to be able to confirm this conjecture.
