Discussion: The ellipse above is plotted at the same area as the expected circle of 95 km but fitting the major axis the observed time. This give an axis ratio of about 2.0 compared to lightcurve data estimate of 1.29. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Dave was north or south of the central line of the event. However, assuming the updated prediction was approximately correct the longer than expected chord of about 95 km would suggest that the chord might lie close to the central portion of the asteroid.
