Discussion:
The circle above is plotted at the expected 108 km diameter of Ornamenta. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Chris was north or south of the central line of the event. However, assuming the updated prediction was approximately correct the longer than expected chord of about 130km would suggest that the chord might lie close to the central portion of the asteroid.
The following picture shows the shape of Ornameneta as calculated from long term lightcurve data at the DAMIT data base. It is probable that Chris observed one of the longer dimensions.
