Discussion:
The circle above is plotted at the expected 52 km diameter of Backlunda. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Stu was north or south of the central line of the event.
The figure below shows the Limovie light curve of the occultation. The red line is a sliding average filter (n=5), offset by 50 units to make it easier to see detail.
It was noted that both the D and R were both very slow at around 180 mSec and the possibility of a double star was discussed. However the concensus was that the step in the lighcurve was not clear enough and that the more likely explanation is a low angle of incidence and large star diameter.
