Discussion:
The circle above is plotted at the expected 26 km diameter of Piaf at the predicted position. The time reported is well within the 1 sigma zone but with only one chord of short duration and two close by negatives on either side of Patrick's location it seems unlikely that this is a real positive.

I had difficulty locating the star initially because of twilight and then cloud about 25 minutes prior to the event. This cleared and I managed to locate the field. The star seemed to be a component of a close double and the event was a ‘blink’ of possibly 1 sec duration but may possibly have been due to atmospherics although the star was visible continuously up to that point but Dave Herald advised me to report the time anyway.
