Set out below is a prediction for an occultation involving Dione, a satellite of Saturn. Predictions of occultations of stars by satellites of major planets is a new feature of Win Occult V1.5 and further refined in the soon to be released Win Occult 2.0. The graphics below have been prepared by David Herald using the beta version of V2.0. The first graphic is in the traditional format of asteroidal occultation events while the second shows the 'apparent path' of the target star through the Saturnian system.
