This image of the transit of Mercury of 15 November 1999 was taken at the
Palermiti Observatory located in Jupiter, Florida. (Lat 26d 54m 40s North,
Long 80d 14m 42s W). A 5" F/6 Mak-Newt was used to video capture the
transit with the sun only 10 degrees from the western horizon.
The image shown was supplied by Mike Palermiti, and taken at the tangent
point of the 9.93 arc sec disc of Mercury and the sun's limb.
